This week, we made the decision to resume our pre-pandemic schedule for Sunday Service.  We will be returning to a single service which starts at 10:30 a.m. CST on May 16th.  There are no solid plans to resume Sunday school at this time, but we expect that to resume over the summer as well. If you do not feel safe in attending a single service, we understand and will continue to utilize the tools below to keep our congregation informed while away.

We are planning to continue to utilize social media and online streaming technologies to deliver the message so that our flock can continue to be fed the Word of God while practicing ‘Social Distancing.’  We realize that not all of our members will be able to utilize these tools, and we are making efforts to ensure we can deliver the messages to those who are unable to receive them using these new methods.

In our toolbelt, we have options for using social media via Facebook and Twitter, video streaming via YouTube, our new Realm app, mail/email, and of course recorded CDs.  Our web page is the central information source to get to any/all of these methods.  You can click on the social media icons above the main picture, or you can click on the ‘About Us’ menu to see links to each of the resources.  Please bear with us as we use these methods as technology can sometimes get the best of us.  Content will probably start out slowly, but will gradually build as we learn how to use the tools we have at hand.

Below are instructions on how to get to each of the resources:

Twitter:  @MBCHuntsville

You can go to your Twitter app on your phone or tablet, or go to https://www.twitter.com and login.  Search for @MBCHuntsville and click ‘Follow’ so that you can see when we post new information.  You can also go directly to our Twitter page by clicking on the Twitter social media icon from our web page, or from the About Us menu, click on ‘MBC on Twitter.’

Twitter will be used for sending quick updates, as well as some additional thoughts from Marty

Facebook:  mbchsv or https://facebook.com/mbchsv

You can go to your Facebook app on your phone or tablet, or go to https://www.facebook.com and login.  Search for mbchsv and click on the result for Morningside Baptist Church (it has a picture of our church).  Click on ‘Like’ and now you’ll see posts from the church.  You can also go directly to our Facebook page by clicking on the Facebook social media icon from our web page, or from the About Us menu, click on ‘MBC on Facebook.’

Facebook will be used for posting updates, posting information from Marty, and Live streaming of our services (as applicable).

YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO671vmgTsSGtLlccjrnpNg/

You can go to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO671vmgTsSGtLlccjrnpNg/ in your web browser.  Click on ‘Subscribe’ and now you’ll see new videos from the church.  You can also go directly to our YouTube page by clicking on the YouTube social media icon from our web page, or from the About Us menu, click on ‘MBC on YouTube.’

YouTube will be used for streaming our services and as a library of all of our videos that can be accessed after the service/message has been produced and posted.

Realm Connect:  MBCHuntsville

You can go to your Realm Connect app on your phone or tablet (requires an activation code which is sent from the church).  If you do not have a log in for Realm Connect, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and Sheri will resend the invitation to you.  If you have a valid account, you may also go to https://onrealm.org/MBCHuntsville/ and login.  Click on the News tab for the latest information.  You can also go directly to our Realm Connect page from the About Us menu our web page, click on ‘Realm Login.’

Realm will be used for general communications of events, status updates, as well as thoughts from Marty.

CD/DVD: Manual request

If you would like a recording of the message, and do not have access to the online resources, please call the office at (256) 880-1980, or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request a CD or DVD of the message.  Please include the date of the service you wish to receive a recording of, and the format requested (DVD or CD).  We highly encourage the use of the online resources, as it saves time and labor for our church staff.

*Note:  DVDs will only be used to provide a copy of the video message (as applicable).  CDs will only include the audio of the message.  Please be sure to request the correct type of media for the player you have.
